Pretty Point Bridge

Cranes lifting steel bridge girders during construction at Pretty Point Bridge by South East Civil & Crane.

South East Civil & Crane successfully delivered the reconstruction of Pretty Point Bridge, involving the staged demolition of the existing structure and the installation of a new, modern bridge system.

Works included the deconstruction of the existing steel substructure, demolition of timber abutments and bridge elements, and the careful sequential removal of both the main and approach spans.

We installed the new UNIBRIDGE system with the original UNIBRIDGE girders retained and reused as part of a sustainable approach.

We constructed new reinforced concrete abutments (A & B), Pier No.1 (north), and formed 50 metres of approach roadworks and 10-metre approach slabs at both ends of the bridge.

Final works included the installation of traffic barriers and railings across the bridge and approach roads, completing the project to a high standard of safety, quality, and functionality.
