Upper Brogo Road DRFA Embankment Restoration Projects (2022 & 2023)
South East Civil & Crane successfully delivered two consecutive embankment restoration projects along Upper Brogo Road, completed in 2022 and 2023 respectively, as part of storm recovery efforts under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
The 2022 project involved detailed site investigation and design, including catchment analysis to determine appropriate culvert sizing. Works included the removal and disposal of debris and spoil, followed by the construction of a precast concrete panel wall with structural steel posts. A 5m section of 450mm Class 2 pipe was installed, with an alternative 600mm Class 2 pipe funded by Council as a betterment upgrade.
The 2023 project addressed a second site along the same road, featuring similar embankment stabilisation techniques using precast concrete panels and the installation of 450mm concrete pipe culverts to improve drainage.
Both projects were delivered with a strong emphasis on engineered solutions, safety compliance, and long-term resilience against future storm events.
