Springs Crossing – Bed Level Crossing Construction

Department of Planning & Environment

Concrete bed level crossing built across creek at Springs Crossing by South East Civil & Crane.

Located within the Yanununbeyan State Conservation Area, this project involved the construction of a new concrete bed level crossing at Springs Crossing, following the washout of existing box culverts during the 2021 flood events.

To improve flood resilience and maintain reliable access, a 60m long, 4m wide, 200mm thick concrete spillway was installed across Spring Creek. The scope also included remediation of existing bank erosion, enhancing both the structural stability of the crossing and the environmental condition of the surrounding creek bank.

This project supports long-term access while reducing the risk of future flood damage in this sensitive conservation area.
